What will you be doing?

  • Standard Fabrication – Utilize machinery to customize fabric belts (measuring, cutting, pressing) to customer specifications.
  • Special Fabrication – Utilize machinery to customize fabric belts (perforations, v-guides, flex cutting) to customer specifications. 
  • Automated Fabrication – Utilize multiple automated machines to customize fabric belts to customer specifications.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be cleared on any background screening
  • English literacy
  • Ability to use a calculator and a tape measure.
  • Computer skills a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.  Must be able to stand, walk, sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

  • Follows work instructions and is responsible for good quality.
  • Follows directions given by Supervisor.
  • Dips woven tubes, roll coats, treats liner and hylenes if needed. Sets up and operates various equipment in the department.
  • Notifies supervisor when tubes are near minimum percentage to determine the action to be taken.
  • Prepares own treatments and is responsible for the specific gravity of same. Must make sure the barrels and tanks are properly grounded.
  • Notifies supervisor of any problems concerning quality of equipment.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in department.
  • Required to lift 45 lbs of rubber for mixing periodically thru the shift.
  • Required to wear respirators from time to time when doing certain jobs
  • Required to use a calculator and weigh scale. 
  • Performs other duties as required.

First Shift - 7:00AM - 3:00PM
Second Shift - 3:00PM - 11:00PM - Base Pay + $1.00 Shift Differential
