ABOUT THE ROLE

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for material handling of packing and shipping to customers, for employee's business-related shipping and inter-company correspondence.

This position is part of our PRIME division, operating under the S&S Activewear parent company. PRIME plays a key role in delivering specialized solutions while aligning with the broader mission and values of S&S Activewear.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Maintain a file system throughout the day for the overnights, 2-day, 3-day shipments.
  • Assisting department with finding tracking #’s, calling customer service with tracking #’s.
  • May receive unsold products returned by DRIVER, SALES ROUTE and be designated Route Returner.
  • Maintain open communication with other Leads to coordinate daily tasks.
  • Perform all department tasks.

  • Flexibility with schedule; available to work overtime.
  • Physical agility and stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift (up to 60 pounds).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems.

  • Good math and reading skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise. Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
