The Facilities Department is seeking a Temporary Event Support Material Handler to assist with commencement setup activities. This role involves preparing event spaces, moving furniture and materials, and supporting event logistics during a busy commencement week.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and dismantle tables, chairs, tents, and other event infrastructure

  • Read and interpret event sheets and oral instructions to determine tasks and material needs

  • Move furniture and materials to and from classrooms, offices, storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.

  • Assist with other commencement-related tasks as needed

This is an on-campus position.

Minimum Qualifications:  

Must dress appropriately, including sturdy shoes or sneakers.

Must be available to work at all scheduled dates and times.

Preferred Qualifications:  

Prior experience with event setup or related tasks.

Compensation: $16.94/hr.
