Position: Residential Aide

Program: Cornerstone

Location: New Haven

Salary: $ 20.00 hourly

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 2nd shift, Sunday -Thursday (2-10pm)

 

Program Summary:

Cornerstone is a Medicaid Rehab Option (MRO) group home that provides group skill building instruction, case management, and residential support for adults with severe and persistent mental health and co-occuring disorders. This program provides the opportunity to improve independent living skills with a goal of increasing independence and safety in the community. 

Position Summary:

The Residential Aide provides group and individual skill building interventions to all residents, with a focus on safety, health, wellness, and symptom management. The ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served.  The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
