Position – Residential Aide

Program – Coley House

Location – Hamden 

Salary - $20.00/hour

Schedule – Part Time, 16 hours, 1st shift, Friday and Saturday (7-3p)

 

Position Summary:

The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care for an intensive, short-term, residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program for Pregnant Women and Women with children.  Coley House provides services to admitted clients, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, 52-weeks a year. This position provides quality services in an individual or group setting by providing educational skills to enhance knowledge, awareness, and their quality of life in recovery.  Staff will respond effectively to meet the needs of clients, co-workers, safe facility operations, community members and funders.

The Residential Aide is a member of the care team providing care and comprehensive substance use treatment services to women who have young children or are expecting a child, at our residential Women and Children Substance Abuse Treatment facilities.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
