First Choice Health Centers is seeking a dedicated bilingual English/Spanish Pharmacy Technician to join our team and help serve our diverse patient community. In this role, you will assist the pharmacists in dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service - all while bridging language barriers for our Spanish-speaking patients.

- Monday through Friday schedule: Monday and Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
- The budgeted pay range for this position is $18.00 – $25.00/hour. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors. These may include education, work experience, and in some instances certifications and licensure. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleague's pay.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Active Connecticut Pharmacy Technician License
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience and Training:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
- Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred; community health or retail pharmacy experience a plus
- Active Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care
Standard Job Duties:
- Communicate with patients in both English and Spanish to explain medication instructions, answer questions, and ensure understanding
- Learn and adhere to 340B dispensing requirements, including the billing of prescription, selection and ordering of inventory and auditing procedures
- Correctly read and interpret prescription orders
- Accurately bill and fill prescriptions accurately using pharmacy software
- Utilize point-of-sale software to service customers
- Answer phone calls and questions, knowing when to escalate calls to Pharmacists
- Order, receive and stock incoming orders
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, coworkers, health care providers and others
- Ability to work independently, under the supervision of a Pharmacist
- Assist in training other staff members
